From U2′s The Edge comes ‘The Break’ – an inspirational documentary that follows three diverse young people who are currently without a home.
MTV has this to say about the show -
THE BREAK is the personal vision of U2′s world-renowned guitarist, The Edge, who believes that everyone deserves a chance at a decent life–especially youth who are living without a home or support system through no fault of their own. Scored by The Edge and produced by Gigantic! Productions, the multi-award winning team behind such acclaimed documentaries about youth in crisis as Gone Too Far, True Life: I’m Deaf and I’m Addicted to Crystal Meth, this documentary is an exciting and emotional voyage through unexplored territory. THE BREAK takes viewers on an inspirational journey like no other–all by offering young people a chance and someone to believe in them.
The show centers around the lives of Ava, Nancy and Rob – all are currently without a home to call their own and are in desperate need of a change. They are assisted by the shows host, homeless advocate Anne Mahlum who offers them opportunities and the tools necessary to build a better life for themselves.
Anne Mahlum, host of The Break, founded in 2007, Back on My Feet (BoMF) which is a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to creating independence and self-sufficiency within the homeless and other underserved populations by first engaging them in running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.
The Break premiere on March 2nd at 8:00 pm ET (7:00 pm CT) on M.T.V.
