The Edge and Bono on tour

Alright sports fans, U2 front man, Bono, is said to be considering a return to Brazil in 2014, but instead of playing to sold out crowds at the Morumbi stadium in São Paulo, it’ll be on the beach of Copacabana during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Celebrity columnist Mônica Bergamo wrote in her Folha de São Paulo column that the soccer fan will likely do what Jagger and the ole pirate Keith Richards of the Stones did back in the early 2000s, a free show at Copa.

U2 was in Brazil last week for the band’s 360 tour.

Bono must be looking for free FIFA World Cup tickets, not that he can’t afford them. Bono and Edge didn’t return my call. Mônica is Mônica.
